Grades Are In!

After a month of waiting, I finally have last semester's grades! My term GPA is 3.333!

I'm a little surprised I got an A- in my first-year seminar class. While the assignments weren't difficult, it was the most stressful for me because of all the death, poverty, and utter hopelessness that the subject matter was drenched with. I have now promised myself to go out of my way to avoid any more political science classes. I don't think I can handle anything like that again. However, while I am happy with my B+ in Craft of Writing (ENG 110) and my B in Dramatic Writing I, I should aim to do even better in this semester's classes. I think that a better study plan should assist me with that nicely. (That and meeting with my professors more to get a better idea about what it is I need to work on.) I'll be taking 3 English classes and a Theater class that acts as a science without a lab this spring semester.

While I did have four classes last semester, one was a P.E., which was a non-credited class (though I still need to take a second one before graduation time comes). This will be my first semester with four credited classes, which means even more work for me. Combine that with my on-campus job and needing to work on my books/writings more than I have been, I'm going to be a very busy person. Lucky for me, I have plenty of notepads to make daily to-do lists. I have a Christmas-themed notepad and a Jack Russell Terrier-themed notepad. I may have more; I'll need to check. If necessary, I can buy more.

I'll also need to get into the habit of always carrying around a notebook with me so I can write down book ideas that come to me. An idea struck me during driving school classes, and I didn't have anything to write it down in that I wasn't using for other notes. I still remember it, though. I just don't know what I'm going to do with it yet.

On a different note, I wasn't able to get The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E.T.A. Hoffman from the library before Christmas because none of the libraries I had available to me had them. But I did get it for Christmas, and I've started reading it. It's already coming in handy with inspiring scenes for my Nutcracker story.

I haven't been doing as much editing on the Christmas story as I would have liked, nor have I written many short stories since I last told you all about them. I've been letting my free time get away with me. But I have discovered that I get so much done when I have a schedule, which is why I'm going to make time during the school semester to work on both the Christmas story and the Nutcracker story.

Speaking of Christmas, I got a camcorder, tripod, and microphone. I'm still figuring out how the camcorder works, but once I do I'll be able to make better videos for my Youtube Channel. You can find my Youtube channel right here. I do have a few videos thanks to my webcam. Aside from those videos, I've been having fun favoriting music videos I especially like, from wizard rock songs to Korean and Japanese music videos.

How was everyone's holiday and New Year's? When do you go back to school?
